Stop smoking : Why Folk Do Bad Things.

February 17th, 2010

Do you do Bad Things? Although you know you shouldn’t? It isn’t your fault.

You know you need to stop doing it, but irrespective of how much you know that, and how much you try, you simply can’t stop. Many even make it all the way down to nil, but the longings, oh the longings. Most will return to smoking in the first few days. What’s this thing? What’s at this core? Let me take a step backwards for an instant. How many adults did you know who are happy? I mean truly, truly happy? Think that query is foolishness? Let me ask you this. How many folk did you know who love their work? I am talkin’ jump out of bed in the morning, can’t bear to wait to start. As a consequence, I see rather a lot of sad, unsatisfied folk walking around.

Welcome to the New Year everybody :- ).

To kick off your own business?

To lose some weight?

To give up smoking?

To give up your job?

To spend a little more time with your family?

To live a more healthy lifestyle?

it’s all too straightforward to think carefully ‘Yup, I am going to lose a couple of pounds by March’ but if that’s all you do, you may surely fail. You want to do something and one of the best methods of causing yourself to do that is to work to an action plan.

With any major goal that you would like to achieve, it should be possible to make ready a plan of how you need to achieve the goal and over what timescale. So put this down in writing and monitor yourself on an once-a-week basis to make sure that you are really doing what you are meant to be doing.

If it helps, stick the whole plan / calendar on your wall or refrigerator so you can not help but see it each day. Smokers will be in a position to relate to this one — if you have just had a fight with your folks, what do you do? You go for a smoke. ) I’ll let you in on a little secret–the real reason it’s so problematical to give up isn’t the nicotine. When you give up smoking ( or any unacceptable habit ), you are all of a sudden faced with real life. All those strains and desires that you have been avoiding? There they are pulling at your coat tails, screaming, “Pay attention to me. “if you got in contact with your real inner desires and took baby steps to start satisfying them, you would actually have tiny need for cigarettes.
